The Next Move app for your desktop and phone, and the companion tools. You do not need any of the tools to use the product — each one exists to remove a specific piece of retyping.

The product itself — HRMS, payroll, the employee portal and the ERP — in its own window, one click from your desktop or home screen. It is the same Next Move you sign in to at app.nextmove-group.com; nothing extra is installed beside it.

Tally Migration Add-On

Version 1.6 · Updated October 2026

Moves your existing books out of TallyPrime and into the Next Move ERP — your ledgers, your parties with their GSTIN, PAN and address, and your opening balances from the trial balance — without exporting a single spreadsheet.

Adds one item, “Migrate to Next Move”, to the Gateway of Tally.
You type the pairing code the ERP shows you and press F4 Send All: Tally sends that company's ledgers, its parties' master details (GSTIN, PAN, address, state, PIN, email, phone) and its trial balance to us over HTTPS, in one go. Each part can also be sent on its own — F5 Ledgers, F6 Master Details, F8 Trial Balance.
A party with a GSTIN but no PAN in Tally gets its PAN from the GSTIN in the ERP.
It only ever READS your Tally data. Nothing inside Tally is created, edited or deleted.
The pairing code is single-use and expires in 30 minutes, so the file is useless on its own.

How to set it up

1Click Download NextMoveMigrate.tdl and save it in a folder you will keep — inside your TallyPrime folder is a good place. Tally reads it from there every time it starts.
2In TallyPrime, press F1 (Help) → TDL & Add-On → F4 (Manage Local TDL). Set “Load TDL files on startup” to Yes, type the full path of the file, and save. “Migrate to Next Move” now appears on the Gateway of Tally.
3In the Next Move ERP, open Tools → Import from Tally and press Connect Tally. It shows a pairing code that lasts 30 minutes.
4Back in Tally, open the company you are moving, choose Migrate to Next Move, type the code and press F4 Send All. The ledgers, the parties' details and the trial balance arrive in the ERP, where you review them before anything is imported. To send one part again, the ERP gives a new code and you press F5, F6 or F8.

What you need: TallyPrime on Windows. Your Tally must allow local add-ons — if the menu item never appears, “Allow Local TDL(s)” needs switching on, and on a multi-user or remote setup so does “Allow Local TDL Files” for your Tally.NET ID. Where a Tally partner manages your installation, that is a request to them.
How to remove it: F1 (Help) → TDL & Add-On → F4 (Manage Local TDL), clear the path, restart Tally. The menu item disappears and Tally is exactly as it was.

Next Move Tax Helper

A Chrome extension that fills TDS challans, TDS-return forms and Form 146 (the accountant's certificate for a payment to a non-resident) on the income-tax portal, ICAI UDIN requests on udin.icai.org, a commercial vehicle's checkpost (border) tax on Parivahan and its Delhi toll-tag top-up on the SDMC site, from figures already in your Next Move account — so nobody retypes a BSR code at 11pm.

Works only on the income-tax portal, TRACES, the ICAI UDIN portal, Parivahan's checkpost pages and the SDMC toll-tag site it is built for; it does nothing on any other site, and never on a bank's page.
Fills your portal user id and password from the login you saved in Next Move. You type the CAPTCHA and press sign in — it never signs in for you.
Fills the form in front of you and takes it as far as the point of no return. Paying a challan, a vehicle's border tax or a toll-tag top-up, e-verifying a return and signing Form 146 are always yours, and you type every OTP and CAPTCHA.
Reads the figures from your Next Move account, which means you must be signed in there — and sends the result back to it: the challan number and BSR code, the challan PDF, the CSI file, the filing acknowledgement, the UDIN, a challan's unconsumed balance on TRACES, a vehicle's checkpost tax e-Receipt and its toll-tag balance. It sends nothing else from the portal.

How to set it up

1Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
2Sign in to Next Move in the same Chrome browser — the helper reads your figures from there, so it needs you signed in.
3In Next Move, open the challan, TDS return, Form 146 or UDIN screen and press the button that opens the portal. The helper fills the form in front of you.
4On the portal, type the CAPTCHA and press sign in yourself. Check what was filled; paying, e-verifying, signing and every OTP are always yours.

What you need: Google Chrome or any Chromium browser (Edge, Brave), on Windows or macOS.
How to remove it: chrome://extensions → Next Move Tax Helper → Remove.

Chrome may say the extension is “not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing”. That is a note about how new the listing is, not about anything found in it — Chrome shows it on every recently published extension until it has been on the store a while with a steady number of users, and it clears on its own. Choose Add extension. Separately, Google reviews every update before publishing it, so for a day or so after a release the store may still hand out the previous version; it updates itself once the new one is through. To check what you have, open chrome://extensions and read the version under Next Move Tax Helper — Form 146 and ICAI UDIN need 0.11.3 or later.

Only for a managed machine that cannot reach the Chrome Web Store. Your browser will warn that the file is not commonly downloaded — that is Chrome being cautious about any .zip, and you can keep it. Then: unzip it to a folder you will not delete, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode (top right), click “Load unpacked” and choose that folder. Chrome will keep showing a “Developer mode extensions” notice, which is normal for this route. A manual install does NOT auto-update, so come back here when we release.

Next Move DSC Signer

Lets you sign invoices and letters (appointment, offer and the other letters HR issues) with the Class 3 DSC on your USB token, from inside Next Move — the signature goes on the document itself, so anyone opening the PDF can click it and see who signed and when.

Two small pieces, installed once: a Chrome extension, and a signing program for Windows. After that there is nothing to start — press Sign on the invoice or letter and your token's PIN window appears.
It signs the document you pressed Sign on and nothing else. The extension can ask your token for one thing: a 32-byte fingerprint of that document.
Your PIN is typed into your token's own window, by you. It is never entered on a web page, never sent anywhere, and never stored.
The signed document carries the full certificate chain and a trusted timestamp, so it still verifies years later — after the certificate itself has expired.

How to set it up

1Plug in your DSC USB token and make sure its driver is installed (ProxKey, HyperPKI, ePass — whichever came with it). If you already use the token on the income-tax or GST portal, this is done.
2Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
3Click Download the signing program (Windows) and double-click the file once. If Windows says it does not recognise the publisher, choose More info, then Run anyway. It sets itself up in about ten seconds.
4In Next Move, open an invoice and press Sign, or an issued letter and press Sign with DSC. Your token's PIN window appears — type your PIN there, and the signature goes on the document.

What you need: Windows, Google Chrome or Edge, and your DSC USB token with the driver its supplier gave you (ProxKey, HyperPKI, ePass — whichever you already use for the income-tax or GST portal).
How to remove it: chrome://extensions → Next Move DSC Signer → Remove, and run the signing program once with /uninstall (or delete the NextMove folder inside your user's AppData\Local). Nothing else on your computer is touched.

Both pieces are needed — install this one too. Double-click it once and it sets itself up in about ten seconds; there is nothing to configure and no administrator password. Windows will say it does not recognise the publisher: choose More info, then Run anyway. It does not stay running in the background — Chrome starts it for the few seconds a signature takes and it closes itself afterwards.
